Natural beauty, historic buildings, and art pieces are waiting for you. Every tourist destination has certain places you must know, this list will walk you through the key places to go in Puerto Vallarta Zona Romantica.

The Malecon Boardwalk

Begin in the arches or ( los arcos) and continue until your hearts contempt. The view, the beach, the street vendors, and the families around make this boardwalk a very unique place. On top of that there is a very unique mix of cultures all over the place that makes this place a stunning site to visit.

Also in this boardwalk you can get a tour to El Edén, Islas Marietas, Punta de Mita and other interesting places outside the city or tough to get but stunning places.

The Beach

Obviously we need to name the gay beach playa de los muertos, but it isn't only a gay beach it is a great place to hang out with family and friends and have a great time. It's one of the most popular beaches and the access is super easy.

Look to the west in Zona Romantica to locate this beach.

The Church of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe

This iconic church is right in the heart of the city center and it's a great expression of architectural and artistic sense evolving along with the city expansion adapting to modern times.

Río Cuale Market

Traditional food, good vibe and a look from the past is what you would find in this maze of craftsman stores in which you could get any kind of souvenirs you could ask for. This place will blow your mind because it is build in symbiosis with nature and you can get a different look at how the city and the surrounding area began to be urbanized without being forced.

Lookout Points

There are plenty of lookout points in Puerto Vallarta, the best one without a doubt is “El Mirador del Cerro de la Cruz” this spot is built on top of a hill that lets you see all of the city and a great view from the beach. The experience is better done walking because you see a great deal of the city and take a cableway that lets you enjoy a great view on the way top.

Once there are not many vendors so we recommend to take some snacks and beverages to enjoy the stay a little longer.

How to get there? You take Morelos street and keep going until Abasolo street, you turn left, from there you just keep going straight all the way to the hill.
